SilkFred Adds Australian Designers SNDYS and Lakeyo to Their Marketplace

SilkFred, the women’s fashion marketplace known for its unique fashion from independent brands, has added two new Australian designers, SNDYS and Lakeyo, to its roster of over 900 independent brands.

SilkFred, established in 2011, was created by founders Emma Watkinson, Kate Jackson, and Stephen Jackson with the mission to bring aspiring fashion designers to market. They identified a gap in the high street, which was dominated by retail giants and fast fashion franchises, leaving little room for independent brands.

SilkFred was launched as an online-only destination that works exclusively with independent brands to showcase unique fashion. The team’s goal was to connect SilkFred customers with lesser-known brands and help them find distinctive fashion not available elsewhere.

After 12 years, SilkFred has remained true to its original mission, building an extensive roster of over 900 independent brands and a client base of over 2 million.

Emma Watkinson, CEO and Co-Founder of SilkFred, commented on the new launch: “We’re thrilled to be adding these beautiful new brands to our ever-expanding collection of boutiques and designers. Part of our mission at SilkFred is to source and then champion new brands, and being able to showcase designs all the way from Australia and make them available to our over 2m+ customers worldwide is very exciting. These designs have landed on SilkFred just in time for summer and are guaranteed to bring a bit of that Australian beach vibe to our wardrobes (without the shipping fees!).”
