Marc Jacobs Fall 2024 Collection Debuts at Selfridges Pop-Up

The new Marc Jacobs Fall 2024 collection has taken centre stage in a unique pop-up on the second floor of Selfridges Oxford Street, transforming The Atrium space into a playful, tongue-in-cheek interpretation of classical architecture. This striking display, which runs until September 15th, features busts and statues adorned with bags, while wall murals highlight iconic items such as Kiki Boots and Tote Bags.

The Fall 2024 collection playfully contrasts with the highbrow environment, blending 80s punk with glamour. Highlights include red and black satin two-pieces, a zebra sequin mini dress, and studded denim. The collection also introduces the new ‘The’ items range, featuring The Jean and The Shirt, alongside pieces that nod to the Marc Jacobs archives – including a fuzzy zebra print coat, famously worn by Cardi B in this season’s campaign, and a charming cat sweater.

This pop-up marks the return of Marc Jacobs ready-to-wear to Selfridges, bringing with it the latest collection of bags. Among these are old favourites in seasonal colourways and new silhouettes, such as The Clover Bag in shiny patent leather and rip-and-repair denim, and The Sack Bag – a new icon first introduced on the Fall 2022 runway, now available in bold zebra print. Additionally, the all-new Dual Bag, an elevated essential that made its debut on the Fall 2023 runway, is being released for the first time as part of the Fall 2024 collection.

The Marc Jacobs universe is further expanded with the inclusion of jewellery, featuring the popular Mini Icon charm collection.

Adding to the excitement, on September 6th, the space will host the launch of a special, yet-to-be-unveiled collaborative collection designed to celebrate Marc Jacobs’ 40th anniversary. This year-long celebration has already featured collaborations with notable names like Nigo, Cactus Plant Flea Market, and Anna Sui, each putting their unique stamp on iconic designs from Marc Jacobs’ 40-year history.
