The Shirt Company, an independent London-based womenswear brand, has released its much-anticipated Shirt Dress Collection. Drawing inspiration from Christian Dior’s iconic ‘New Look’, the line aims to merge classic tailoring with modern style, delivering effortless pieces that suit a variety of occasions.

All garments in the collection are crafted from natural cottons and produced in Europe to ensure quality and durability. Designed at the brand’s London studio, the dresses are tailored with an emphasis on versatility and wearability, enabling women to move seamlessly from day to evening events.

Donna Middleton, founder and creative director of The Shirt Company, said: “Our shirt dress collection embodies effortless elegance, reimagining timeless femininity with flattering fit-and-flare silhouettes that complement every body shape. With cinched waists, statement obi belts, and flowing skirts crafted from 100% cotton, these dresses offer a modern yet wearable look. The rich chocolate brown transitions beautifully into the new season, while bold red, classic navy, and black ensure everyday sophistication with a contemporary edge.”

The new range introduces four key styles:

  • Christiane: Designed with an elasticated waist and self-tie obi belt, this midi-length dress nods to Audrey Hepburn’s look in Roman Holiday. Suitable for both work and leisure, it is available in navy, red, and chocolate.
  • Le Marais: Made from cotton sateen, this style features a relaxed silhouette with a comfortable elasticated waist, deep side pockets, and easy-fit sleeves. It is designed for day-to-night wear and comes in red, black, navy, and chocolate.
  • Ottilie: A straight-cut dress that pairs a wide obi belt with a structured fit. The silhouette is softened by bracelet-length sleeves and deep pockets. Colours include royal blue, chocolate, and black.
  • Veronica: A midaxi-length dress with a circular skirt and wide belt. Crafted from mid-weight cotton sateen, it is suitable for varied occasions. Options include navy, navy and white stripe, chocolate, and chocolate and white stripe.

All dresses are available in UK sizes 8 to 18. The collection is produced under Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) standards, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainability. The brand uses natural fibres, recycled and biodegradable packaging, and road transportation to lower its environmental impact.

The Shirt Dress Collection is available for purchase via the company’s online store.
