A. Lange & Söhne has opened a new boutique in Chicago at 435 Michigan Avenue within Tribune Tower. The opening re-establishes the brand’s retail presence in the U.S. Midwest and marks its ninth point of sale in the United States.
Positioned on Chicago’s “Magnificent Mile”, the 1,409 sq ft (131 sq m) boutique has been designed to provide an exclusive and intimate setting for client interaction. The space includes three distinct seating areas, including two private lounges for individual viewings.

The boutique will display a full assortment of timepieces and features bespoke installations intended to immerse visitors in the brand’s heritage and technical expertise, including references to the ZEITWERK, the Lange tourbillon and the hand-finishing techniques applied to each movement.

Tribune Tower, formerly headquarters of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Chicago Tribune, celebrated its centennial in 2025 and today serves as a luxury retail anchor along the Chicago River. Its façade incorporates nearly 150 architectural fragments collected in the 19th and 20th centuries, including a section of the Berlin Wall added in 1990, the year Walter Lange re-established the manufacture in Glashütte.
