Primark, the well-known fashion retailer, has announced a collaboration with Italian sportswear brand Kappa to release a 30-piece collection. This new range is designed to cater to both sports and everyday wear, featuring items such as hoodies, seamless sets, and various accessories for both women and men.

This partnership marks a strategic alliance between Primark and Kappa, focusing on providing performance-wear at accessible prices. The collection includes casual clothing like half-zip sweatshirts and shirts, as well as activewear such as seamless co-ords and unitards, all designed with breathable, moisture-wicking technology.

The collection also offers a variety of accessories, including weekender and cross-body bags, sliders, and Kappa X Primark socks, aimed at providing all-day comfort. Prices for these items start at £4.50 for accessories and go up to £26 for clothing.

Primark entered the licensed clothing market in 2011, and this sector has since become an important part of its product lineup. The retailer continues to expand its range of sports licensed products available in-store.

Sarah Jackson, Director of Licensing at Primark, commented on the collaboration: “We’re thrilled to partner with the iconic Kappa brand and offer our customers specialist performance-wear, designed with comfort and functionality in mind. This is just the beginning of our collaboration and we’re excited for the future as we work together to bring more affordable choices to our customers.”

Davide Piccolo, CEO of Kappa, also expressed enthusiasm, stating: “It is a great opportunity to collaborate on this brand-new capsule collection with Primark, a globally recognised brand. We are excited to engage with the Gen Z audience by leveraging contemporary trends. Together, we can combine our sportswear heritage with Primark’s global presence to deliver innovative and stylish activewear that resonates with young people.”

The Kappa X Primark collection will be available in Primark stores across 16 markets this month.
