KIKO Milano, the acclaimed Italian cosmetics brand, is set to enhance its UK footprint by opening a new outlet in Angel Central, Islington, as part of its ambitious expansion efforts across the country. This initiative aligns with Angel Central’s goal to elevate its retail and leisure offerings to better serve its visitors.

Scheduled to welcome customers later this month, the new KIKO Milano store will be housed in an 818 sq ft space alongside notable brands like Rituals and MUJI. This addition aims to enrich the beauty and skincare selection within the centre, offering the brand’s extensive product range and exclusive in-store makeup services for an engaging customer experience. The store’s design, courtesy of Iosa Ghini, moves away from KIKO Milano’s usual city concept format to offer a fresh and innovative environment.

The announcement coincides with Angel Central achieving a Fitwel 2-star rating, showcasing CBRE Investment Management’s commitment to promoting a healthy environment for the centre’s visitors and tenants.

Louisa Butters, Head of Retail Asset Management UK at CBRE Investment Management, shared her excitement about KIKO Milano joining Angel Central’s diverse retail mix. She emphasized the brand’s capacity to meet the local demand for unique beauty and skincare options. “Enhancing our beauty selection is crucial to our broader vision. We are excited for KIKO Milano’s opening next month, which is part of several anticipated launches this year,” said Butters.

Paul Devin, Country Director for the UK and Ireland at KIKO Milano, expressed enthusiasm for the store’s opening at Angel Central. “This new outlet marks a significant step in our UK expansion. We’ve always been keen on Islington, and joining a community-focused centre like Angel Central is an exciting development for us,” Devin noted.

Angel Central has shown remarkable performance in 2023, with a 16% sales increase from the previous year and a footfall 6.4% above the national average, signalling its continued growth and appeal. The centre has recently welcomed new additions such as OFFICE and Northwood, alongside upgrades for existing tenants like Accessorize and a major refurbishment for VUE cinema, further solidifying its position as a key retail destination alongside anchor stores UNIQLO and H&M.

CBRE and Colliers represent Angel Central in these developments, with Lightlease acting on behalf of KIKO Milano.
