Lone Design Club (LDC) is set to open its inaugural pop-up store in Canary Wharf this May, bringing a fresh spotlight to ethical fashion and lifestyle brands with the launch of “The Escape (To) The City” pop-up store. This new venture will include LDC’s first dedicated LDC Mini section, designed to cater to eco-conscious families by featuring conscious children’s, pet, and maternity brands.

Scheduled to open on Wednesday, 15th May, the pop-up will introduce Canary Wharf’s workers and residents to a selection of upcoming brands that focus on sustainability, not previously available in the area. The store aims to be more than just a shopping destination; it will provide a platform for attendees to engage with the visionary designers behind the brands. The event will also host exclusive weekly happenings such as interactive workshops, wellness sessions, and previews of new launches.

The opening event promises to be an engaging experience with early evening drinks and activities designed to introduce the new LDC Mini section. Featured brands will include Philly and Friends, an educational brand that combines play with learning and diversity, and Petit Pli, which offers innovative children’s clothing that adjusts through seven sizes and is made from recycled water bottles.

Alice McAnutly, LDC’s Chief Operating Officer, commented on the new pop-up: “Lone Design Club’s Canary Wharf pop-up represents our unwavering commitment to bringing digital native and conscious brands to new locations through the UK and beyond. Our new LDC Mini section is a testament to our desire to cater to the whole family while upholding our values of sustainability and ethical consumption.”

Leanne Catterall, Director of Retail and Leisure Leasing, expressed her enthusiasm for the new addition to Canary Wharf: “I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome Lone Design Club to Canary Wharf. Their Escape (To) the City pop-up will bring the best in sustainable and ethical brands to the Wharf, alongside some fantastic events that will really bring the store to life. I’m particularly excited that Lone Design Club are bringing their first-ever LDC Mini to the Cabot Place pop-up, where eco-conscious families can find a curated mix of independent brands spanning kids, maternity, and pets’.”

This initiative not only aims to enrich the shopping landscape of Canary Wharf but also serves as a beacon for sustainable shopping, reflecting a growing demand for environmentally responsible products and practices.
