SKIMS Opens First Flagship Store in New York City

SKIMS has launched its first flagship store in New York City, a milestone in the brand’s continued expansion. Situated on 5th Avenue, the 6,570 sq ft store presents SKIMS’ full range of products, including best-selling collections and exclusive collaborations. The opening reflects SKIMS’ evolution into physical retail, providing customers with an immersive and inclusive shopping experience.

Comprehensive Product Offering

The flagship store allows customers to shop SKIMS’ extensive range of loungewear, shapewear, and underwear for men and women. Signature lines such as Fits Everybody, Cotton, and Ultimate Bras are prominently featured, alongside exclusive monthly drops. Customers can also explore the brand’s holiday collection and recent collaborations with Dolce&Gabbana and The North Face.

Building on Retail Success

The flagship follows a series of successful pop-ups and retail collaborations, marking a new phase in SKIMS’ physical retail strategy. According to Jens Grede, Co-Founder and CEO of SKIMS:

A Unique Blend of Design and Heritage

The flagship’s design was led by Rafael de Cárdenas, who incorporated SKIMS’ minimalist aesthetic into the historic 5th Avenue building. Key design features include Corian displays, tonal ultrasuede backdrops, and a striking 15-foot Vanessa Beecroft sculpture at the entrance. The store spans three stories and a mezzanine, creating a cohesive and modern shopping environment.

“Working with Kim’s refined attention to detail and Jens’ strong business instincts, as well as the extraordinary SKIMS team, has been an exciting experience. The sumptuously soft but exactingly clean interior of the flagship sets off the landmark building’s intricately historical facade. The collaboration has produced an immersive and innovative brand experience for existing SKIMS customers, and new ones, to discover,” said Rafael de Cárdenas.
