To mark the 2026 Lunar New Year, the Year of the Horse, Lloyds, part of Lloyds Banking Group, opened a temporary pop-up space on Greek Street in London under the name ‘Year of the Horse X Year of You’. The activation reinterpreted the brand’s long-standing horse icon through a themed retail environment designed to engage visitors both physically and digitally.

The toy store-style installation blended the visual language of a traditional British toy shop with Asian cultural references. Shelving was filled with horse plush toys, forming a backdrop for a highly shareable in-store setting.

Inside the space, guests were invited to take part in an interactive digital journey. Visitors submitted their zodiac sign and personal ambitions for the year ahead, which ranged from buying a first home to funding international travel. Based on these inputs, each participant received manifestation charms reflecting their stated ambitions to attach to a limited-edition Firehorse toy, alongside a bespoke zodiac prediction. These items were positioned as tangible reminders intended to support personal goals for 2026.

The activation was supported by influencer attendance, digital out-of-home advertising and social media amplification. Lloyds said its East and Southeast Asian network contributed to the campaign and delivery to ensure cultural authenticity. In addition, celebratory messages are being projected onto Lloyds office buildings in Birmingham, Bristol and London as part of the wider initiative.
