Topologie has opened a new store in Soho, marking the brand’s third location in London and continuing its expansion across key international cities.

Founded in 2018 by rock climbing enthusiasts from France and Japan, the accessories brand combines technical elements inspired by climbing equipment with a design aesthetic influenced by Franco-Japanese fashion. Its products are designed as functional everyday accessories, with a focus on modularity and personalisation.

The opening follows the launch of the brand’s first Paris flagship on rue du Temple and its earlier expansion into London with a store on Dray Walk in Shoreditch and a flagship in Covent Garden. Topologie also entered the Netherlands market in November last year with a store in Amsterdam.

Located at 79 Berwick Street, the Soho store places the brand within close proximity to The Photographer’s Gallery, Chinatown and Oxford Street. The location positions Topologie within one of London’s most established cultural and retail districts.

Modular retail concept

A central feature of the space is the Topologie Wares System™, which enables customers to configure accessories by combining straps, bags and cases. The system includes more than 100 interchangeable straps inspired by climbing ropes and hardware, alongside a range of modular bags and cases.

In the Soho store, the full product range is presented through a retail environment designed around modularity. Pegboard displays and scaffold-inspired metal structures are used to create flexible merchandising zones, while under-counter storage areas allow a large range of stock to be held within the compact retail space.

Customers are able to assemble their own combinations from more than 1,000 possible configurations, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on customisation and functional design.

Alongside its retail development, Topologie has collaborated with a number of cultural and fashion brands including Ed Banger Records, A.P.C., Maison Kitsuné, Clarks and Pleasures.
