Shaftesbury Capital has announced the opening of a first-of-its-kind Dolce&Gabbana store in Covent Garden, bringing together the brand’s beauty and accessories collections under one roof. Located in the historic Market Building, the store marks Dolce&Gabbana’s return to Covent Garden following the success of its 2022 Christmas pop-up on the Piazza.

The new boutique adds to Covent Garden’s reputation as a hub for prestigious beauty and fashion brands, featuring an exclusive selection of Dolce&Gabbana cosmetics, signature fragrances, and a dedicated make-up consultation area. In a world-first for the brand, the store also houses the latest Dolce&Gabbana accessories, including its iconic eyewear range. The interior blends gold panelling and monochrome tiles, combining the heritage of the Market Building with Dolce&Gabbana’s distinctive Italian style.

Strengthening Covent Garden’s Luxury Retail Offering

Situated near James Street, the new store sits alongside other high-end beauty and fragrance retailers, including CHANEL Beauty, Diptyque, Glossier, Guerlain, Miller Harris, Penhaligon’s, and Tom Ford Beauty. The boutique is also located next to Charlotte Tilbury’s recently expanded flagship store, which introduced the world’s first Skin Spa earlier this year.

William Oliver, retail leasing director at Shaftesbury Capital, highlighted why Covent Garden was chosen for this world-first concept:

“Dolce&Gabbana’s commitment to blending tradition with innovation is what makes Covent Garden the perfect location to debut a world-first concept, following in the footsteps of Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Glossier, and Tom Ford. Building on the noteworthy success of its pop-up in 2022, the brand has reinvested in the destination, showcasing Covent Garden’s appeal for internationally renowned fashion houses to put down permanent roots.”

Continued Growth for Covent Garden’s Retail Landscape

The launch of Dolce&Gabbana’s boutique follows the recent announcement of Alo Yoga opening at the junction of Neal Street and Earlham Street. With 55 brands investing in nearly 100,000 sq ft of retail space in 2024, Covent Garden continues to attract world-class names, reinforcing its status as a top destination for luxury retail and innovative brand concepts.
