Marc Jacobs brings its Resort Collection to the heart of London in a captivating pop-up store located in Covent Garden’s historic East Piazza. This unique shopping experience, housed in a completely mirrored box, marks Marc Jacobs’ first-ever pop-up store in the United Kingdom and is the latest creation from pop-up supremos Backlash.

The new campaign, featuring the iconic Kim Kardashian, takes centre stage in the vicinity of the Covent Garden Underground Station, making it an unmissable spectacle for fashion enthusiasts. Adding to the allure, a towering nine-foot-tall silver tote bag serves as a beacon, guiding shoppers to this fashion haven.

Katie Peake, Creative Director & Founder at Backlash, shares her insights into this innovative pop-up concept, stating, “We have created a highly disruptive ‘hi-shine’ mirrored pop-up that gives the illusion of hovering above the ground in the darker hours of each morning and afternoon. Staying true to the campaign and the resort collection, we stripped back the materials to solely focus on ‘hi-shine’ finishes perfectly complemented with light.”

The pop-up is supported by an equally unmissable chrome and mirrored Marc Jacobs tote bag swing, as Covent Garden transforms into a Marc Jacobs ‘hi-shine’ destination this season.

The specially constructed space is a true embodiment of the season’s high-shine fashion trends, designed to be the ultimate destination for holiday season gifting. Inside, the Resort Collection is showcased prominently, with exclusive offerings that include the Crystal Canvas Mini Tote Bag, a standout piece from the campaign. Additionally, the classic tote bag and wallet are available in new and limited seasonal colours, including the attention-grabbing lipstick pink.

Fashion enthusiasts will also find the signature Snapshot Bag and the all-new St. Marc, designed for 2023, adorned with sparkling silver, pearl, and rhinestone animations. To complete the assortment, a carefully curated selection of small leather goods and jewelry is on display. The space is accentuated with touches of the iconic monogram, and inflated metallic balloon letters and stars, directly inspired by the latest jewelry collection worn by Kim Kardashian in the campaign. To add to the visual charm, there’s a mirrored area at the rear of the pop-up store, providing the perfect backdrop for striking photos.

For those looking for a taste of runway-inspired ready-to-wear fashion, the pop-up store features mannequins dressed in bedazzled Kiki boots and corsets. These fashion-forward pieces are now available at the Marc Jacobs flagship store located at 110 Regent Street.

Fashion enthusiasts have until December 3rd to experience this remarkable pop-up store, which is further complemented by a takeover of the Covent Garden Underground platforms. Additionally, an immersive 3D installation awaits at Tottenham Court Road Station.
